MetaPM is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website. This Privacy Policy is provided to make you aware of matters specifically relevant to how MetaPM collects, uses and manages information of visitors to this website.

MetaPM is committed to safeguarding personal privacy and protecting the privacy of visitors to our website. We recognise that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. This Privacy Policy applies to MetaPM’s products and services, including all websites operated by MetaPM.

How we collect and use your personal information

Providing personal information is an act of trust and is taken seriously. Unless given consent to do otherwise, MetaPM will only collect and use personal information as set out below. MetaPM ensures our privacy policy principles meet and exceed the requirements of Australian privacy legislation. MetaPM does not sell, share or transfer Personal Data to third parties, other than in the specific circumstances described below.

Collecting Personal Information

MetaPM respects the privacy of our online visitors. MetaPM may collect information on or through its website that can personally identify you. For example, we collect personally identifiable information which you volunteer to us (for example, by responding to visitor questions and/or comments about us and our products and services, and to mail e-newsletters (“Personal Data”)). This will only apply if you have registered or subscribed to such publications by registering your details with us. However, if you wish to cease receiving any such information you may let us know either by email to enquries@metapm.com.au or unsubscribing at any time and your request will be actioned within 48 Hours (2 business days). We also welcome your questions and comments about privacy.

Individual profile and company details are not used for any other purpose. Details are only supplied to a third-party supplier when it is required by law, for goods or services which you have purchased or to protect our copyright, trademarks and other legal rights.

MetaPM will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. MetaPM will not knowingly share any of your Personal Data with any third party other than our service providers who assist us in providing the information and/or services we are providing to you. If you would like to know what sort of information we hold about you, contact us by email to enquries@metapm.com.au for specific details.

Any non-personal information, communications and material you send to this website or to MetaPM by email or other means of communication, or which we obtain from third parties without promises of confidentiality, may be kept, used and disclosed by MetaPM on a non-confidential basis. We are free to use and reproduce any such information freely, and for any purpose whatsoever. Specifically, MetaPM will be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such information for any purpose, including developing, manufacturing or marketing products.

MetaPM only collects personal information by lawful and fair means. This means we are never unreasonably intrusive when it comes to dealing with our customers.

Storage and security of personal information

MetaPM will take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information recorded, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. The information is stored with our partner vendors which all apply best practice in physical, logical and data layers of security as well as enterprise grade user and admin controls. MetaPM use Microsoft Office 365 and Xero in addition to other software packages as required. All software packages are GDPR and Privacy compliant according to their own security processes. MetaPM employees and data processors are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by MetaPM. This forms part of the MetaPM induction process. All hardcopies are kept in locked storage facilities.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

MetaPM will never sell your Personal Data or disclose it to third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose Personal Data to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • if we have obtained your consent to do so
  • as part of Certification Services, including:
    • during examination sessions, through contact with the Accrediting Body
  • by disclosing a delegate’s examination results:
    • MetaPM will only disclose a delegate’s examination result when the information is specifically requested by your employer or other person or entity who booked an examination on your behalf. When this information has been solicited without the knowledge or consent of the delegate, MetaPM will only confirm whether the delegate has passed or failed and will not disclose actual exam scores or percentages. Actual scores or percentages will only be disclosed after obtaining permission to release this information, from the delegate directly.
  • when we are required by law or court order, or by a regulatory or governmental authority legally authorised to request such disclosure
  • if you are suspected and/or investigated for examination malpractice
  • if required to protect the rights, property or safety of MetaPM and its business partners

Retention of Personal Data

Where retention of Personal Data is required by law, MetaPM complies with required retention periods. In other circumstances, MetaPM retains Personal Data for as long as necessary for the business purposes. For certain specific circumstances, shorter retention periods may apply.

Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your Personal Data. However, you acknowledge and accept that upon deletion of specific Personal Data, certificate validation and other services provided by MetaPM may not be available. Under Australian and EU law, you have certain rights to restriction of processing of your Personal Data and of portability of your Personal Data to other service providers. Surveys

From time to time MetaPM may run surveys, polls and similar initiatives (“Surveys”), to request information from Users to assist us to improve our products, services and operating practices. Participation in Surveys is always voluntary, and Personal Data provided in Survey responses will always remain strictly confidential. The results of Surveys may be aggregated, and anonymised, and such anonymised information may be shared with third parties.

Cookies and pixels

A cookie is a small file placed in your web browser that collects information about your web browsing behaviour. Use of cookies allows a website to tailor its configuration to your needs and preferences. Cookies do not access information stored on your computer or any personal information (e.g. name, address, email address or telephone number). Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose to reject cookies by changing your browser settings. This may, however, prevent you from taking full advantage of the MetaPM website.

Our website uses cookies to analyse website traffic and help us provide a better website visitor experience. In addition, cookies and pixels may be used to serve relevant ads to website visitors through third party services such as Google Ads and Facebook Adverts. These ads may appear on this website or other websites you visit.

MetaPM Training and Bill Payments

Access to MetaPM’s training registration and bill payment services provides customers with the ability to conduct transaction services and information. This information is used for the express purpose of providing these transaction services. All transactions within these services are protected by Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) encryption. Payments are processed securely by our selected payment processors. MetaPM does not have access to any credit or debit card information*. This information is securely provided by Users directly to our payment processors at the time of purchase.

*MetaPM may occasionally accept payment by Credit Card over the phone, requiring the direct disclosure of credit or debit card information to MetaPM employees. This information is used to action immediate payment which is processed securely by our selected payment processors and is then destroyed. MetaPM does not keep/store any credit or debit card information for any length of time.

Exam Results

Exam results are confidential and will only be disclosed directly to the individual candidate or as directed by the candidate.
