Overview

Disciplined Agile is not a framework, but rather a toolkit that focuses on the decisions you need to consider, the options available to you, and the trade-offs associated with these options. It shows how to effectively combine strategies from Scrum, Kanban, SAFe®, and many other approaches in a tailorable and scalable manner.

Disciplined Agile allows students to tailor their Agile approach and lead their team.

Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) teaches experienced agile practitioners how to use the Disciplined Agile (DA™) tool kit to optimize how teams work and solve a variety of advanced problems.

This 14 PDU course will prepare you to take the DASSM exam and start using Disciplined Agile immediately within your leadership role.

MetaPM Learning has partnered with the PMI for many years, we were one of the first Australian Authorised Training Providers (A.T.P) to be able to offer both DASM and DASSM Certification Preparation Training. The DA certifications complement our existing PMP and CAPM courses. We work with our students to enable them to achieve their PMI certifications with confidence and support.

Accreditation

This course is accredited by the PMI. The exam fee is included in the cost of training course which must be taken with 30 days of completing the training.

Flexible Delivery

This course can be delivered virtually or face-to-face, depending on your chosen dates. Virtual lessons are delivered online using Zoom, allowing you to dial in remotely. Our virtual classrooms are designed to deliver a highly effective and comprehensive learning experience.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to tailor their DA approach and be prepared to lead their team with DA. It proves students with the knowledge to take Disciplined Agile to a new level by providing the tools to solve complex problems and enhance organisational agility.

In just two days, students will be able to adopt an agile mindset, tailor and scale any agile or lean approach using the Disciplined Agile tool kit to choose their way of working (WoW).

Filled with activities, animations, supplemental reading, and more, this course will prepare students to take the Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) exam and, equally important, start using Disciplined Agile immediately.

Upon course completion, participants will be able to:

Gain an understanding of how to lead complex initiatives
Be able to lead an agile team or multiple teams
Tailor and scale way of working (WoW)
Prepare for the DASSM certification exam

Course Prerequisites

To attend the Senior Scrum Master course, students must have gained an understanding of the fundamentals of the DA tool kit by:

Taken the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course
Taken The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course
Read section 1, or more, of Choose Your WoW - Complementary digital copy included with DASSM
Two years of experience working in an agile team, ideally in a leadership role such as Disciplined Agile scrum master, scrum master, product owner, or architecture owner.

I can’t find/see any courses on the schedule for later in the year – how do I place my registration?

Our course schedule is published every six months , if there is a date or course title which is not available please contact our training team on 1800 800 436 who will be able to assist you.

I need to change my course attendance – how do I do this?

Please refer to the MetaPM Terms & Conditions for details related to Transferring, Cancelling, or Substituting your course attendance.

Courses that have been paid for and not attended will be held in credit for a period not exceeding 1 year from the original course date. Failure to reschedule attendance will result in the full fee being forfeited after such time.

I would like to make a booking for a group of people – how do I do this?

MetaPM offers in-house (i.e. private) and/or tailored training either onsite at our premises or off-site at your premises for groups of min 6 or more people across all of our subjects.

My organisation needs to purchase training opportunities in bulk – is this possible?

Corporate Training Credits can be arranged with organisations who have varied and ongoing training needs. A pre-paid training budget can be drawn from for accessible and flexible training options suitable for larger volumes of staff across multiple departments who can’t all get away from work at the same time. Credits can be used against both public and private training options.

Where is the training venue located?

MetaPM's Head Office are located at Level 3/420 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC. Our courses are delivered at our training centres in Melbourne and Sydney.

Is there any exam?

The exam fee is included in the cost of the training and covers one attempt. Students have 30 days after completing the training to take the exam. The exam is provided online by Pearson Vue testing.

The Exam Format

50 multiple choice questions.

90 minutes to complete the exam.

Computer based exam via Pearson Vue testing centres.

The DASM or DASSM certification lasts for 12 months. To renew the certification, you must earn 7 PDUs in agile topics and pay the $50 renewal fee.
