P3M3 Assessment & Roadmap

MetaPM is an Accredited Consulting Organisation (ACO) able to offer Portfolio Program Project Managment Maturity Model (P3M3^®) assessments to clients through its Registered Consultants who are registered to deliver P3M3 assessments.

A P3M3 Assessment is a highly effective means of identifying the factors critical to assuring successful delivery of an organisation’s portfolio of programs and projects.

Organisational maturity in project delivery is determined by many diverse factors. Applying a standard maturity model is likely to confuse the situation if the assessor makes the mistake of assuming that 'one size fits all', meaning that every organisation needs to be at Level 5 or that improvement must be across all aspects of project delivery.

MetaPM’s P3M3 Assessment Framework incorporates a foundational assessment based on the seven key process areas (as per OGC’s P3M3 Model), as well as an assessment of the key organisational aspects that enable the projects success.

Working closely with the client’s project team, we aim to identify key risks and gaps in the organisation’s capabilities and recommend solutions to address common problems.  Our framework provides a robust method to review and analyse how change is implemented within the organisation and provide recommendations in line with the business’ requirements and constraints.

In delivering this, MetaPM ensures that:

• The P3M3 assessment provides a holistic view of current capabilities and a roadmap for achieving the desired future state
• The output is “action-oriented” – a targeted action plan is developed with a clear focus on achieving both short and long-term results
• Key gaps, risks and issues are identified and an appropriate action plan proposed for mitigation and resolution
• There is a collaborative approach to maximise buy-in and commitment to the action plan from the whole project team
• The process and output provides a sound basis for management confidence that the project will deliver the desired outcomes
• The final report is objective and delivers constructive feedback

Providing a detailed assessment and benchmarking method and approach to assess what your organisation says about how it delivers projects measured against what they actually do in the delivery of projects and then benchmarks these findings against similar organisations.
