|
Recommended for:
This self-study course is for participants who wish to attempt the PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-Registration Exam. The PRINCE2 Examination Board has determined that all PRINCE2 Practitioners should be re-registered within 3-5 years of their original certification.
This course is also offered as a 2-day course if requested. Please contact us if you would like further information.
(Please note that this Objective Testing Exam (OTE) style was released on 1st September 2007 and is very different to the previous essay style Practitioner exam).
Availability:
This self-study course is available to people who have previously passed the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam and are able to attend a MetaPM public or in-house Practitioner exam session. The 1 hour exam is scheduled to commence at the same times and locations as MetaPM's Practitioner Exam sessions.
Purpose:
The self-study course is intended to assist the participant to prepare themselves for the PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-Registration exam. A pass in this re-qualifies Practitioners for another 5 years as Registered Practitioners.
Composition:
On registering, the participant receives a Practitioner Exam Study Pack that includes detailed exam guidance material, a sample exam and a copy of the MetaPM POTENT (Practitioner Objective Testing Exam Navigation Tool). They will also receive a spreadsheet attached to their registration email that allows them to submit their trial answers for marking as part of the preparation process. It is essential that participants have access to the manual "Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®" during both the preparation and the exam.
- Learning - In the period prior to the exam participants should read the exam guidance material and complete the official sample exam questions (utilising the POTENT tool) and email these to MetaPM for marking.
- Practicing - Participants will receive their marks on the trial questions, which will indicate which questions were not answered correctly. Participants are encouraged to refer back to the study materials to research their errors and re-submit their answers as this process provides the greatest retention of information and a high success rate in undertaking the exam. When the candidate has successfully researched and answered all questions correctly they should be ready to sit the examination.
- The Exam (fee included) - is of one hour duration and is an open-book examination (only the PRINCE2 Manual is allowed). The exam consists of three questions and a short scenario plus some appendices that are relevant to specific questions. Each of the three questions will be sub-divided into parts. Each of the three questions is worth 12 marks giving a total possible of 108 marks. The pass mark is 59. No reading time is provided prior to the exam.
Benefits:
- Successful Practitioner Re-Registration exam candidates receive a Registered Practitioner certificate from the UK Office of Government Commerce via the APM Group Ltd and are listed on the APM Group website as PRINCE2® Registered Practitioners.
- The organization will benefit from the enhanced competence of Project Managers leading to increased productivity and improved project outcomes.
- 12 months free membership to the pm4success website with multiple PRINCE2® support articles and tools (after passing the exam)
