Our People

As a service organisation we recognise that our team of consultants and support staff are at the heart of our operations.  Simply put, without good, motivated professional people we are unable to help our clients meet their challenges.

Our people are experienced practitioners who are selected for their knowledge and know-how as well as their ability to work with clients to deliver effective, practical, workable solutions.  In as much, the company philosophy is:

MetaPM employees are typically very experienced consulting professionals (10+ years) who bring specialist knowledge and experience to the team, as required.

MetaPM is committed to providing a quality of service, not just people.  Therefore we are organised to replace individuals for short or long term periods, as needs arise, and maintain continuity of service.

Mark Ives - Director
Experience   

Mark Ives is a leader in the area of project management.  Mark has led and directed a range of large and complex projects and consulting engagements within the financial services, government and telecommunications industries.

Before founding MetaPM in 2003, Mark enjoyed a 25-year career with NAB during which he held the position of Program Director. 

As General Manager, Mark is now responsible for leading and overseeing all consulting assignments.  Mark’s skill in directing project work and providing thought leadership has been instrumental in achieving successful outcomes for MetaPM clients.

Master of Business Administration (MBA),  PRINCE2® Certificate

Simon Garlick - Director
Experience 

Experience  Simon has 15 years experience in project management, with a particular focus on business development and account management. Before joining MetaPM, Simon has gained experience in various project management roles including Contracts Administrator, Project Planner, Project Controller and Senior Project Manager.

Simon joined MetaPM in 2006 in the role of Sales and Marketing Manager.  Simon’s diverse background (encompassing both account and project management) enables him to work closely with clients to ensure that each assignment is properly scoped to deliver on expectations.

Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering, ITIL Foundation, Prince2 Foundation, Cisco CCNA 640-801 and CCNA 640-607, Microsoft MCP NT4, Microsoft Networking Essentials

Melanie Holland – Manager Learning, Sales & Service
Experience 

Melanie has over 25 years’ experience in the Learning and Development industry.

Before joining MetaPM, Melanie worked for WWP Training Ltd a leading Learning and Development organisation in the UK.  Melanie’s career at WWP Training spanned 21 years during this time she was a shareholder and on the board of directors.

Melanie joined MetaPM in 2012 in the role of Manager Learning, Sales and Service. Within this role Melanie manages all sales, operations and service activities for the Learning practice.
