Meta Project Management was founded by Mark Ives in 2003, with a goal of providing specialist business focused project management products and services within the Melbourne market.
The concept of Meta Project Management was to provide specialist project management services from a position of subject matter expertise in project management, to augment and support the ongoing development of the client’s project management capability over time.
When Simon Garlick joined in 2006, a new company was established called MetaPM Pty Ltd, with the aim to expand the business further into the Government sector as well as offer its services beyond the Melbourne market.
In June 2008, MetaPM acquired Rational Management Training, which had been operating since 1996 and was one of first PRINCE2® Accredited Training Organisations in Australia. This acquisition provided additional training capability, as well as securing a number of preferred supplier agreements within the private and public sectors across Australia.
